John Spindler, Partner
John has a 14 year track record of supporting and investing in tech startups in the UK. As the former CEO of Capital Enterprise and co-founder of the London Co-Investment Fund, he established the UK’s most active seed-stage fund, responsible for over 200 investments in tech startups since 2015. He also co-founded AI Seed, served as a Venture Partner at Luminous Ventures, and remains an active angel investor.
John’s extensive network and deep understanding of startup ecosystems make him a pivotal player in driving successful outcomes for founders and LPs alike.
Nick Slater, Partner
Nick brings over eight years of experience in venture capital, specialising in deep tech and AI-focused investments. As a former partner at Post Urban Ventures and principal at AI Seed, Nick has done 70+ investments in AI-first startups at pre-seed and early stages. He also served as Investment Manager for the London Co-Investment Fund at Capital Enterprise, driving innovation across London’s tech ecosystem.
With a background in Physics and a master’s degree from UCL, Nick combines technical expertise with hands-on entrepreneurial experience, having co-founded and scaled Dibbz, a startup that successfully raised two investment rounds. His deep sector knowledge and founder insights make him a valuable partner for early-stage ventures.
Lotus Qi, Chief Operating Officer
Lotus brings a unique blend of deep-tech operational and startup support expertise to Twin Path Ventures. As Head of MedTech at Capital Enterprise, she led flagship programmes like the Cancer Tech Accelerator and P4 Precision Medicine Accelerator, supporting 50+ startups annually with coaching, investor connections, and operational insights. She also built a network of 300+ VCs, angels, and industry experts, enhancing fundraising and startup support.
Previously, Lotus was Head of Operations at Post Urban Ventures, a deep-tech venture builder, where she launched a UCL spin-out accelerator and managed investor communications under FCA compliance. Previously, she worked at WPP agencies, delivering global campaigns for Shell and HSBC. Fluent in English, German, and Chinese, she holds a BA in Economics and Chinese Language from Beijing Language and Culture University.
Katie Lockwood, Partner
Katie combines a strong foundation in IP law with a passion for early-stage venture capital. As the former Head of Investment Readiness at Capital Enterprise, she has guided hundreds of startups through fundraising, forging strong connections with early-stage funds. With a Natural Sciences degree from the University of Cambridge and a master’s in Bioscience Entrepreneurship from UCL (where she ranked top of her class), Katie bridges the gap between science and business.
Previously a qualified IP lawyer at Taylor Wessing, Katie worked on high-stakes patent litigation and corporate deals in life sciences, medtech, and telecoms. She is also part of the Royal Academy of Engineering’s Venture Capital Fellowship Program, highlighting her dedication to advancing tech innovation.
